3。75Cringe city… this trope is too much。。 I can’t。 But the ending was cute and it’s good to know he was in love with her all long。 So yeah I did read this fast but I was screaming from the awkwardness。 This I the kind of thing where I need to walk away and talk to people to forget about the second hand embarrassment I am experiencing。

I saw this book being recommended on BookTok and it was compared to the movie 'She's the Man' which is an favourite of mine so I had to give it ago！ I really wanted to enjoy it but it was extremely predictable and the writing wasn't great。 It read like a Wattpad novel， which isn't bad at all， it just wasn't what I wanted。 I was annoyed at multiple plot points， like how did no one remember Alice from try outs when she was teaching the boys how to figure skate and vice versa with them teaching the I saw this book being recommended on BookTok and it was compared to the movie 'She's the Man' which is an favourite of mine so I had to give it ago！ I really wanted to enjoy it but it was extremely predictable and the writing wasn't great。 It read like a Wattpad novel， which isn't bad at all， it just wasn't what I wanted。 I was annoyed at multiple plot points， like how did no one remember Alice from try outs when she was teaching the boys how to figure skate and vice versa with them teaching the girls ice hockey？ There was multiple scenarios like this which was extremely frustrating。 To me， the story really lacked consistency throughout。 If you're after a very quick and easy read where you don't need think or remember plot points， give it a go but I wouldn't bother otherwise。 。。。more

This book was an okay read。 Alice is very “not like other girls”， which made it a little difficult to read at times， and she wasn’t an overly likable character in my opinion。 Sentences that were in all caps were difficult to read， but it’s a cute story and an enjoyable idea。

It’s literally she’s the man。 Slightly less cringey， but very similar nonetheless。 Having done extensive analysis on gender in shes the man and twelfth night， I felt like I couldn’t enjoy this book because it was too similar。

no。 I didn’t like it。I felt the romance too rushed， because Hayden practically admitted he fell in love with Al but wouldn’t accept it because he was a boy。 and he didn’t even know if Alice was Alice fr when she was pretending to be Al， but he just “fell in love with her” because she was that wonderful girl with long legs that he was drooling over。 no。 just… no。not reading the sequel anytime soon。 sorry Leah and Kate

This was good！ I saw it as a recommendation on Instagram and I was not disappointed。 I usually read smutty romance and suddenly I’m not 😂 am I sick？ Anyways， this had all the good things。 Chemistry， angst， and hockey。 I LOVE hockey。 It was so fun。 I just wanted more at the end。 I wanted the true She’s the Man ending with a boobie reveal 😂 but we didn’t get that and I suppose it’s okay。
